Sink Control

Many drainage trenching machines will experience pipe laying difficulties operating in unstable ground conditions.

Although the trench depth is controlled by laser technology, pipe laying in saturated or soft subsoil gives rise to undulating pipe gradients resulting in drains that rapidly 'silt up'.

An advanced technological solution with unrivalled Service

At William Morfoot, we believe you deserve the best service possible.  With the assistance of Mastenbroek, who manufacture our trenching machines, we have invested in Sink Control on all the William Morfoot land drainage trenchers.

Sink Control technology regulates oil pressure in the hydraulic system that in turn compensates for variations in subsoil stability.  The weight of the pipe layer usually coupled with a heavy stone hopper causes inevitable ‘pipebox sinkage.’

Sink Control ensures that drains are installed with perfect accuracy, even in poor or saturated soil conditions.

The implementation of this technology by our company sets us apart from our competitors, providing an unrivalled standard of drain installation.
